Photovoltaic Panel Recycling Plants:
Solar EVO 5.0 Line by Compton Industriale
Compton Industriale specializes in the design and manufacture of photovoltaic panel recycling equipment. The Solar line represents the technologically advanced solution for the efficient and sustainable recovery of all materials that make up panels that have reached the end of their useful life.
The line, which is at the forefront of efficient and sustainable recycling of photovoltaic panels, is an innovative technology whose environmental advantages and economic benefits identify it as an ideal choice for companies operating in recovery and all those committed to a more sustainable future.
The Solar EVO 5.0 line is the latest evolution in photovoltaic panel recycling, offering up to 50% higher performance than the previous model.
Solar EVO 5.0 ensures the separation of all materials contained in the PV panel using a fully mechanical process refined over more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
The system is designed to be as efficient as possible while maintaining ease of use for the operator and as long a service life as possible.
Maintenance of the line is easy to perform, and thanks to our ongoing commitment to innovating our systems, we have investigated the use of new materials by increasing the life of wear components by up to 300% over the previous model.
The Solar EVO 5.0 line is also equipped with an operator panel from which machine parameters can be controlled easily and intuitively, also enabling remote assistance and data collection on the treated panels, making the system certifiable for Industry 4.0.

What Makes the Solar EVO 5.0 System Unique?
- Full Recovery: Compton Industriale’s patented technology makes it possible to separate and recover 100% of the materials in photovoltaic panels, including glass, silicon, aluminum, copper and plastics.
- High Efficiency: The recycling process is optimized to maximize the recovery yield, allowing for high quality secondary raw materials.
- Sustainability: The Solar EVO 5.0 line contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the photovoltaic industry, minimizing waste and promoting the circular economy.
- Flexibility: The system is available in different configurations to suit specific production needs and recycling goals.
How Does the Recycling Process Work?
Many steps in the process
- Frames and Junction Box Removal: A dedicated machine removes the frames and junction box from the panel.
- Panel Cutting: The panel is cut into two sections to reduce energy consumption in the next step.
- Glass Delamination: An innovative process separates the glass from other components without contaminating it, ensuring complete recovery.
- Shredding and Separation: The panel residue is shredded and its constituent materials (copper, silicon, plastics) are separated into three separate streams using a circular vibrating screen.
What Materials are Recovered?
An average of 22 kg is obtained from a photovoltaic panel:
Electrical Boards: 0.1 kg
Miscellaneous Metals: 0.2 kg
Plastics: 1.7 kg
Silicon: 2.8 kg
Aluminum: 2.9 kg
Glass: 13.8 kg
Benefits of Recycling with Solar EVO 5.0
What benefits for the environment?
- Reducing Environmental Impact: Recycled photovoltaic panels prevent the accumulation of waste in landfills and the subsequent contamination of soil and groundwater.
- Recovery of Precious Raw Materials: Materials recovered from photovoltaic panels can be used for the production of new products, reducing the need to extract virgin resources.
- Promoting the Circular Economy: Recycling PV panels contributes to a more sustainable economic system based on resource reuse.
